Philadelphia Eagles Championship Parade – 2018 Edition

February 18, 2018. What a day! Not only had my Philadelphia Eagles stomped the New England Patriots 41-33 earlier in the week, but I was about to film their championship parade with my brand new Panasonic GH5!

I had been a loyal user of Canon DSLRs since I first started getting serious about video in 2013. When it was time to upgrade from my aging 7D workhorse and good enough T5i, it was hard to admit that it was time to make the switch to Panasonic.

Shooting in 4K at 60fps was crucial for this video and something I wouldn’t have been able to do had I stuck with Canon. My GH5 (and in this video 12-35mm 2.8 lens) was a real joy to shoot with handheld throughout our 10+ mile hike through the city of brotherly love.

Aside from the cool new gear, this truly was one of my favorite days ever; spending the day celebrating with a city that truly deserves being world champs. Go birds!
