I love filming live music and this shoot took me back to the very first place I shot a live music event just a few years ago. That was 2013 and the and the band was Traffic Jam, now known as One Last Stand (you can see here and here).

Three years later it’s Stella & the Voodoo Fish on the same bar-top stage at Parx Casino in Bensalem, PA.

In an effort to become a better live music filmmaker, I often experiment with different techniques. For this shoot, I attempted to operate two cameras at once (my Canon T5i and camcorder). I think it worked. There was also a stable GoPro.

Aside from my videography nostalgia, I really enjoyed filming this performance. Stella & the Voodoo Fish is a great local band. Check them out at on their website or Facebook page.
